Is discharge art for intellectuals? No, discharge is for anyone and everyone who appreciates creativity in all its myriad forms. Be it static visual, audio or moving image; the written word or the deconstructed, non-linear form. The spoken word and noise.
All creativity is the springboard for discharge. It highjack’s a multitude of genres and disciplines and transposes them onto the internet. discharge is electronically transmitted art, be it via blog, myspace or whatever format possible, it can also be produced and seen in classic formats.
The discharge Chapbook. The discharge Building by Parts book. discharge has no rules. All contributors to discharge are responsible adults. discharge has no leaders although it has an elected body of rotating editors who oversee rather than dictate the flow of the group.
The aim of discharge is to profile creative people and to do away with the pretension of the art world.

You and I both know that, while we're young and attractive, we can dismiss youth and beauty as being puerile and superficial. Once we've entered the saggy years we can acknowledge youth as tragically unaware of itself as being beautiful yet irrelevant in the face of our physical being as having lost something of the right shape... yet beautiful, young people are more of a draw-card that ever.
Sigh. I know that I'm still 'attractive' to even the young and have it confirmed on virtually a daily basis. I also know that nothing looks as it once did.
Let's have a beer and a little cry into it...

Messy Decker, TEXAS!!! Now I'm feeling uncomfortable (read as being synonymous to terrified). Do Texans really wander around with double barrels down their pants? I've noticed that Jerry Hall seems to carry a tote bag instead of a delicate handbag. I have seen mags with pearl-handled 22's discreet and feminine enough to pop in your handbag for after 5, so I'm trying not to imagine what her sawn-off pearl-finish shotgun looks like.
Don't concern yourself with the six pack. I'm far more partial to a good slab nowadays (I don't know whether this translates into USA-ese). In fact, I'd rather a crate of Vodka (the cheaper and stronger, the better). It's called Spiritus in mah neck o' the woods... may be known as Rubbing Alcohol or Nail Polish Remover in yours.
As regards the festive napkins, I'm good with anything that can hold the snot. None of this bunny-soft tissue paper for me!
